June 26, 2005

Littleton, CO – June 26, 2005 - International Risk Group, LLC securitized the guarantee of the environmental cleanup of the Kaiser Brownfield site on Erie’s east side which makes way for a fruit juice processing and packaging plant. The agreement for the cleanup is between the PADEP, Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp., Accuride-Erie LLP, Erie Land Holding Inc., and the Greater Erie Industrial Development Corp. (GEIDC).

“This was a very complex case that would not have been resolved successfully without significant cooperation and commitment from all of the parties involved,” Burch said. “The agreement facilitates GEIDC’s need to expedite redevelopment of this Brownfield site and ensures that environmental concerns will be addressed expeditiously in accordance with the Pennsylvania Land Recycling Law.”

“This project has been five years in the making, with all parties involved coming together to turn an underused property into one that will support hundreds of manufacturing jobs,” GEIDC President and CEO Monica Brower said. “The transaction allows a new manufacturer to build here, allows Accuride to stay and retain their existing jobs in the community and facilitates the cleanup of a site that had known environmental issues. All parties win.”

The Kaiser 50-acre site was valued at $2.9 million. Re-development of the property will create over 300 jobs within three years with the construction of a $65 million, 300,000-square-foot facility aseptic multi-fruit processing and juice packaging plant.
